Founded in 1925 under the auspices of the National Council of Jewish Women and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 1954, El Nido Family Centers became a completely independent organization in 1978.
Products and Services
The mission of El Nido is to empower families in low-income communities of L.A. County to break the cycle of poverty, child abuse, violence, academic failure and teen pregnancy through outstanding educational, youth development, health and therapeutic services. Programs fall into four categories: Child Abuse Prevention & Treatment, Teen Parent Family Services, Parent Education & Family Development and Youth Development.
